Come and support the Grads of 2013!
Dry Grad is an event which provides students with a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment to celebrate their graduation. It is a fully supervised fun event, sponsored by the parents, where the grads can party with their friends, be entertained and participate in a fun-filled, action-packed night of celebration.
Dry Grad takes place after the dinner dance on Friday June 14th, 2013. It will occur at the Ladner Community Centre and run from midnight until 6:00 am June 15th. Grads leave the dinner dance around midnight and return to Ladner for a quick clothing change before heading to the Dry Grad Event. The grads must be in the door by a set time and they do not have in/out privileges.
HOW YOU CAN HELP?
As in prior years, we are requesting an up-front, one-time only cash family contribution of $100.00 to offset the cost and greatly decrease the amount of fundraising required. The contribution is not in lieu of volunteering. For anyone who is unable to contribute their time to this event – we will gladly accept more. For cheques of $100 and more received and dated on or before November 1st, your name will be entered in a draw to win 4 front row seats for the grad walk.
Cheques are to be written to “DSS DRY GRAD” and either mailed to Delta Secondary School @ 4615- 51st Street, Delta, BC V4K 2V8 or dropped off in the box located in the school office.
Please download the PDF file below for the complete letter to parents of the graduates of 2013.
Our first Grad Bottle Drive is still a long ways away, which is planned for Saturday, December 1, 2012. However, we would like to remind all grads to start saving recyclable bottles and cans NOW!
This annual event is one of the highlights of the grad year for entertainment! Tickets always sell out so make sure you buy them early!
The Grad Talent Show will be on Thursday, November 29th in the Genesis Theatre. Ticket prices TBA. Auditions are on October 15-17th. Please sign up in the foyer on the Grad Bulletin ASAP.
If you have accumulated any service hours, please document them on the provided service hour form. Students are responsible for keep tracking of their hours and getting them signed off. The forms need to be handed in to Mrs. Duncan in the office at the end of each month.
